Meeting Ideas

Hey everyone,
I just remembered ... we have a livejournal comm! So I wanted to get some of your thoughts for meeting ideas. Your lovely eboard members have thrown around some ideas, but what do YOU really want to do this semester?

Things to look forward to in September:
1- Splash and the Religious Consortia in front of Marsh, the SAO Fair in the GSU
2 - Pagan Pride Day
3 - Mabon (and my 21st birthday!)

Things to look forward to in October
1- Samhain (duh)
2 - Salem trip

Things to look forward to in November
1 - Caftan making anyone?

Things to look forward to in December
1 - Yule brunch
2 - Yule
3 - Finals magick

These are the essentials of things that NEED to get done. But other than that, we're still tossing around ideas for meetings. So lovelies, what do you wanna do? I've asked a friend of mine to come and talk to us about Druids, Debbie the elder might come to talk about Alexandrian, Jimmy and I might do a small herbalism, incense lecture and we've talked about having a witchcraft series (talking about doing different rituals in different traditions and styles (aka Egyptian, Green Witch)).

PS. Any ideas for things that can make our bakesale more successful?
PPS. I miss you all!

few things...

1) SOMEONE BESIDES ME POSTED HERE!!!!!!!!! *composes self* This, fellow Nemetonites is exactly what this comm is for. Meesh....you make a web wench proud! *sniffs*

2) More successful bakesale -- pot brownies! mixed with alcohol and Benadryl was it? *ahem* ANYWAY. I say the two of us in charge of cookie making, and never Christ (unless someone forces her to use a timer)...and maybe play up the tarot a bit more? Cause doesnt our sign now just say something about a bakesale? and an itty bitty blurb about the tarot? Not many people will come over for food unless it's free...but look at how many people came for the Shelton readings (ok..those were free, but still!) I can see groups of people coming over just for fun. Oh! Also maybe face painting near Halloween? Oh...or decorating baby pumpkins. Like for $5 they get to paint one of those mini pumpkins like these? We can use some of our funds to buy them at Shaws or something (they take purchase orders) and if we don't use them all...hey, we know it'll be arts and crafts time for the next meeting!

3) on the same lines as the last thing...can we paint pumpkins this year? Pretty please? *puppy eyes*
I think we can work in painting some pumpkins. :)
Also, for Samhain this year...can we try NOT to fall out of a moving car?? Hobbling around Salem sans painkillers was not fun. Ok...yes it was, but it was painful. Damn Salem CVS pharmacy for being closed.
